Zumple — Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 19 September 2026 Version: 1.6

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the Zumple team ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you play Zumple (the "Game") on mobile or web. Zumple is a free puzzle app: a block puzzle and nineteen more puzzles in one app. By playing the Game, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We try to collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically, we collect:

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts unless you voluntarily send them to us, for example by emailing our support address.

3. Advertising

This version of the Game does not show ads. The build contains no advertising SDK, no advertising identifier (such as Google's Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA) is collected, and no advertising network receives any information about you. If advertising is introduced in a future version, this policy will be updated and its version raised before any ad is shown.

4. Analytics

We record usage events ourselves — which screens are opened, games started and finished, session length — and send them to our own server, tied to the anonymous Player ID and not to your real identity. We do not use any third-party analytics SDK.

5. Local Save Data

Your game progress (levels, settings, unlocked items) is stored locally on your device. It is the only copy: there is no cloud save, and we keep no copy of your progress. If you uninstall the Game or clear its data, this local save is lost.

6. Leaderboard and Replay Submission

When you play the Daily Challenge, your score and its replay — the game seed, move list and final score — are sent to our server with your anonymous Player ID so that the result can be verified and ranked. When you choose to share a replay, the same replay is sent. Nothing about other games leaves your device unless you share it.

Duels. When you turn a finished run into a duel link, that run's replay and score are stored with your anonymous Player ID, so that anyone opening the link is dealt the same board, can watch how you played it, and can have their own attempt checked against yours. Only the first four characters of a Player ID are ever shown. Private groups. When you create or join a group, we store the group's name, its six-character code, your anonymous Player ID and the display name you type. That display name is shown only to people who already have the code, and leaving the group deletes both it and your membership.

7. Puzzles You Create and Publish

Puzzles you draw are stored only on your device, and a puzzle you share as a link never reaches our servers: it is encoded inside the fragment of a web address — the part after #, which browsers do not send to any server.

Publishing is a separate choice, and always yours. If you publish a puzzle to the in-game library, we store the drawing, the title you type and your anonymous Player ID. The drawing and the title are shown to everyone who opens the library; only the first four characters of the Player ID are shown. Anyone can report a published puzzle, and a puzzle reported by three different players is hidden until a person reviews it. To have something you published taken down, write to the email address below.

8. Children's Privacy

Zumple is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

9. Data Retention

We retain the data described above only for as long as necessary to operate the Game, improve it, and comply with legal obligations. Anonymous gameplay and crash data may be retained in aggregate form for longer periods for product improvement.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Transfers

Our service providers (such as cloud hosting and analytics) may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data associated with your anonymous Player ID, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), or South Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)). Because we generally do not hold identifying information, please include your Player ID (found in Settings) when making a request so we can locate your data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
